The British School Quito (BSQ) is renowned for its first class academic, technical, arts and sporting facilities, as well as the family atmosphere, commitment to the environment and personalised education that have been the hallmark of the British International School since its beginning.

BSQ is a community school in the sense that the school ensures all members of it's community can learn effectively together in an environment that supports pupil's individual needs. Where students of all ages can study and grow with the teachers, facilities and support to confidently approach each stage of their development. BSQ welcomes the involvement of parents to ensure the right support and challenge is in place. The school's international student and staff population is diverse and vibrant; bringing with them all the intercultural learning and socialisation opportunities that make BSQ a thriving international community in Quito.

Meet the Headteacher

Emma Newman, Principal

As Principal of the British School Quito I can say with great confidence that we will welcome you into a learning environment full of exactly the right mix of warmth and ambition for our students. As a parent myself, I know that the most important daily concern is that our children are happy at school, but I also know that it is the primary duty of a school to ensure that its scholars leave with the highest academic achievements possible so that the doors are opened into the next stage of their learning careers. Here at BSQ our aim is always to get that balance right.

I invite you to visit BSQ personally so that you can experience first-hand the spirit of our school and I look forward to meeting you in the near future.
